In a conversation with IRNA on Tuesday, Majid Farhani-Pour said: At 3pm today, the Anbar Cartoon Fire incident was reported to the system at the beginning of the village of Madan.

He added that much of the carton, cardboard and paper waste stored in the warehouse was burned by fire and ash.

Firefighters prevented the fire from spreading to other parts of the warehouse, said Abadan Municipality Fire and Safety Services Executive Director.

Farhani Pur said: The cause of the accident is being investigated.

Also on Monday, a truck carrying a carton in Madan Abadan village was set on fire. The cause of the accident was the truck’s technical failure.

The above fire incidents did not cause any casualties.

A number of paper and cardboard waste collection depots are located in Madan Abadan village, which are not safe.
